Executive Golf preview of KLM Open
From 21 to 24 of August the KLM Open at the Kennemer Golf and Country Club will host some of the worlds best golfers for a point scoring round of the PGA European Tour.
Last years event went down to the wire with Englishman Ross Fisher winning with a birdie at the final hole that secured his first tour title. However, he was only awarded the title after an investigation to ensure that he had not broken a rule by lifting a bramble runner. Fisher had to return to the 12th hole, where the incident took place with officials and following a video investigation he was eventually cleared to pick up the €266,666 first prize.
The Kennemer Golf and Country Club was founded in 1910 and the 27-hole links course has been a stable of the European PGA tour since 1972. Past winner include Colin Montgomerie, Lee Westwood and a 19 year old Seve Ballesteros.
