New golf shoe uses the latest modern technology
adidas Golf has introduced TOUR360 3.0, a shoe which combines contemporary design with modern performance technologies.
The latest golf shoe to be released by the German company features adidas’ Golf’s proprietary 360WRAP, a visible technology that surrounds the midfoot area to promote enhanced upper stability, a glove-like fit and increased leverage.
The TOUR360 3.0 employs new technology in the shape of three-dimensional moulding, which
allows the saddle to hug the midfoot more securely than ever before. This 3D fit is also the basis of the shoes’ external moulded Heel Cup technology. Inspired by cycling shoes, which enhance power transfer to the pedals with secure heel-fit systems, the three-dimensionally moulded external heel-counter locks the foot in place, eliminating heel slippage.
The golf shoe makes use of revolutionary THiNTech technology, which was created at the request of tour professionals. It incorporates a one-piece TPU sole designed to position the foot closer to the ground, which creates a solid, responsive and stable shoe that makes hitting a golf ball a more tactile experience. It also lowers the athlete’s centre of gravity to promote increased stability, and channels feedback from the ground more efficiently.
Inside, the 3D FitFOAM™ sock liner delivers a customised fit for exceptional comfort and support. Outside, the full-grain leather upper works with strategically positioned TPU accents to enhance durability.
“TOUR360 is one of golf’s truly iconic products, and the performance flagship of adidas Golf footwear,” said Dave Ortley, adidas Golf’s senior director of global footwear. He continues, “The evolution of a product like this is not to be taken lightly, as it represents leadership in both performance innovation and style.”
TOUR360 3.0 is offered in regular and wide widths and in a choice of three colourways. The shoe includes a one-year waterproof warranty and carries a recommended retail price of £119.99. It is avialble to purchase from the 1st of September.
