Toshiba
Toshiba announced the arrival of its new Satellite and Equium laptop series, offering an irresistible combination of computing power, style and consumer choice. Toshiba’s new Satellite and Equium ranges each encompass three new model series, ranging from affordable everyday computing to powerful desktop replacements that can easily be taken on the move. All laptops are styled with a sleek, gloss black finish providing eye-catching looks to match impressive features.
All series have been created to meet a variety of consumer demands. Those looking for a model designed for everyday computing will be attracted by the affordability and design credentials of the Satellite/Equium A300; the portable, yet powerful, Satellite/Equium U400 is perfect for high performance computing on the move; and consumers in the market for a versatile desktop replacement will find the P300 models a tempting alternative.
All models are designed to offer an intuitive computing experience for the user. Each chassis offers a textured palm rest and smooth touchpad, with metallic mouse buttons, whilst a quick launch multimedia control bar also sits below the display, with feather-touch buttons and soft glow LED lighting, to allow instant access to videos, music, photos and gaming. Integrated Harman Kardon speakers are also included[i], coupled with Dolby Sound Room technology to make Toshiba’s Satellite and Equium models the perfect hub of any home media set-up. Powered by the latest Intel® and AMD processors alongside premium graphics technology from ATI and Intel, all models come with Windows Vista Home Premium and a DVD SuperMulti drive.
In addition to the audio technology, each model comes equipped with an integrated web camera and built-in microphone. Face recognition software also means users can securely log on without using a password, thanks to the ability to identify individual and unique facial features via the webcam. Another innovative feature, USB Sleep ‘n’ Charge, allows MP3 players and mobile phones to be charged up – even when the laptop is in sleep or off mode.
