The famous contemporary architect Luc Svetchine was responsible for the final restoration of the building, transforming it into a luxury hotel and historic flagship of the Relais&Châteaux hotel-chain.
The current building was built and completed in 1936 on the foundations of the ancient Templar Commanderie, perpetuating the legend of the famous Templar treasure which has never been found.
New to the hotel is the state of-the-art Spa, which specialises in treatments by La Prairie and is a haven of serenity built into an age-old cliff opening out onto the sea.
Original treatment rooms, hollowed out of an age-old limestone cliff on which the hotel is built, afford breathtaking views of the sea. The exclusive spa includes a sauna, hammam, experience shower and the unique concept of a Duo cabin.
