ProQuip a perfect ft for Team Europe
ProQuip, has spent the past 15 months developing an exclusive lightweight and stretchable fabric for Nick Faldo’s men.
The company, official weatherwear supplier to the European Ryder Cup Team, has worked closely with Faldo to create a special suit to give the European team a competitive edge should Kentucky produce the heavy showers it is prone to.
Although the actual European Team rain suit will remain top secret until the match begins on September 19, ProQuip has confirmed that the exclusively designed fabric is ultra-lightweight and is stretchable throughout.
Richard Head, ProQuip’s managing director and chief designer, said: “Nick Faldo knew exactly what he wanted, and that was the ultimate lightweight, quiet, stretchable weatherwear.
“Nick and the players think it is a fantastic fabric, and should the weather become an issue in Valhalla, the European Team will be prepared.”
Head and Faldo first met up 15 months ago to discuss ideas for the Europeans’ weatherwear for Kentucky, and the captain has been involved in the design process from start to finish.
ProQuip has already been confirmed as the official weatherwear supplier for the 2010 European Ryder Cup Team and has been selected by more Ryder Cup captains, European and American, than any other weatherwear brand in the match’s history
