Terre d’Hermès
Launched in March 2006, created by in house Perfumer Jean-Claude Ellena Terre d’Hermes is a vegetal, mineral, woody fragrance.
Touching from afar
Earth, water, air. Matter, fluid, scent. Terre d’Hermès is a crossing, a journey through the elements and their different strata, the story of a transformation, of a movement towards infinity.
Bitter sparkling scents of grapefruit and orange with their bright, cheerful acidity. Matt, mineral scents of gunflint and flint. Sharp, lively scents of peppers and pink peppercorns. Elegant, vegetal scents of geranium leaves and patchouli. Smooth, firm scents of cedars, harbouring the sensual fragrance of warm skin. Dense, supple earthy scents of vetiver. Tender, caressing scent of gum benjamin.

The imprint and the caress
On the ground, it rests on the orange “H” at its base, like a pact agreed with the earth from which it draws its strength.
Towards the sky, over the surface of its metallic coat, it reflects the light, lets the clouds glide by and the air tremble, as if mirroring a dream.
Between the two, the transparency of water, borne within an architecture of glass with ridges that are clear and yet soft to the touch, an architecture which is both self-assured and unencumbered.
And then, discreetly, in the wings, the precious personal details: the Hermès saddle tack, set flush in the surface; the line of orange, invisible but reflected on the metal shoulders. Or even the supple mechanism of the cap which slides open to release the spray. So many almost secret pleasures discovered only by the user, true to the tradition of attention to detail at Hermès.
