The best just got better. The hotel and spa has undergone a complete makeover. A more vibrant and fresh new look has been achieved using beautiful new furnishings and interiors have been modernized. The resort’s flat screen televisions have also been upgraded with new 52” – 70”inch flat screens and up-to-the-minute technology, such as the NEOS system, has been installed. The incorporation of NEOS will make guest stays much simpler – it is an ultra-sophisticated, all-in-one system which can incorporate IT programs, music libraries, DVD libraries and internet through each guest television screen.
WHO?
J P McManus, Dermot Desmond and John Magnier, some of Ireland’s richest men, bought the resort and invested $32million to take it to the top of the market.
Tiger Woods was approached to strike the first ball at the official opening, in exchange for a rumoured $2 million home plus a hefty appearance fee. He also got married there.
