New York shoe designer Stuart Weitzman is world-renowned for his creative and playful shoe collections and his Spring / Summer range is no exception. With an array of striking, statement heels; from chiselled and sculpted Surrealist shapes, to natural, woven raffia heels and candy colour brights, the collection showcases Stuart Weitzman’s exquisite craftsmanship, style and fit.

Brights and candy colours dominate the collection with electric blues, raspberry reds, limes and buttercup yellows. Sharp in vibrant yellow is a very modern take on the classic slingback with a square cut toe and a cylindrical metal heel while Loopy combines bright patent green with a raffia heel. Striking square toed silhouettes in bright red or blue patent Tofu are a highlight, while the dip dyed effect Dais and Sashay both use a new technique with shades of graduated colour.
The influence of the 1970’s is evident in vibrant, two tone red and white glossy patent Swiss with a sweeping arch and platform bottom. The exquisitely crafted Bogus in shocking pink or violet satin with a raffia sole epitomizes 70’s glamour while Daniella, a vertiginous stiletto with an exquisite ankle strap offers a very stylish alternative.

Stuart Weitzman looks to the African continent for his collection of tribal and ethnic inspired shoes. From the giraffe inspired Hookup wedge to the glossy snakeskin effect, Aline and Daniella in desert cat and wild cat print fabric.

The Gladiator trend also returns this season with the show-stopping Zoom in vibrant, multi-print turquoise fabric and a towering heel. Chippy takes a very modern look at the gladiator sandal crafted from metallic leather and is updated with a wooden platform sole. Pullthru is a towering stiletto which combines very modern triple straps in bright yellow leather or cork with a shiny metallic cone heel.

For high summer, Stuart Weitzman has created a sumptuous collection of red-carpet heels. Opulent styles worthy of the catwalk include Allusion, a sky-high stiletto crafted from slivers of gold metallic leather which encase the foot, or Bondgirl in black or gold is a strappy evening shoe with an ankle strap studded with crystals.
